NCES/IPEDS

The National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) hosts an Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). Here you may look up your institution and view key data points on enrollments, employment, and budgets. We have also bookmarked the Menu for the Most Current Digest Tables offered by the NCES Digest of Education Statistics.

THECB

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) publishes plans and assessments for higher education in Texas. For a one-page pdf snapshot, get an institutional resume from THECB here. The THECB Databridge also offers other search capabilities and featured reports.

Texas Legislature Online

Every two years, the Texas Legislature renews budgets and laws for Texas colleges and universities. Track bills and other legislative activities at Texas Legislature Online.

University Budget

Texas law requires the university to publish its annual budget where it is easy to locate. Find the annual budget here along with an archive of previous budgets (planned revenues and expenditure). The university also offers an archive of its annual financial statements here (actual revenues and expenditures).

State Auditor FTE Dashboard

The Texas State Auditor’s Office offers an FTE Dashboard where you can select your institution to find quarterly updates. FTE’s are “a way of adding up the hours of full-time, part-time and various other types of employees into measurable ‘full-time’ units.” (Personio)

Institutional Research

The university also supports an Office of Institutional Research with helpful data and reports, including a list of reports that the university must share according to state mandate.

Faculty Senate

The university Faculty Senate meets weekly during the academic year and monthly during the summer.

Texas State University System

The Board of Regents conducts quarterly meetings governing several member institutions and campuses. The system office hosts an archive of press releases. The system also offers a very helpful menu of reports and publications.
